I know I nearly spat my sarnie out at that one.‘All we wanted was a fair chance to compete’.
With unlimited money given to them by a bunch of murderers. Aye, fair that.
Wilson is an upgrade on Rondon, ASM an upgrade on Perez. Almiron is still here (although he's now being played as a CM, for some reason.)Well Rafa had Rondon, Perez, Almiron and a raft of other signings he made.
Agree Bruce is a bellend like.![]()
So Rafa wanted Rondon and Perez but Mike upgraded with Wilson and St Max.Wilson is an upgrade on Rondon, ASM an upgrade on Perez. Almiron is still here (although he's now being played as a CM, for some reason.)
They wouldn't even permanently sign Rondon for £16m because he was too old and wanted big wages. Instead they watch Benitez go, then throw £40m at Joelinton (and big wages), and let Bruce sign Wilson for £20m. Despite being the same age as Rondon was...
It's hilarious how badly the club approaches recruitment.
My word, blaming Keir Starmer now. They sure are clutching straws now the thick twats.just wow!!

f***ing Tragic
No every good decision was Rafa’s, every bad one was Ashley’s.So Rafa wanted Rondon and Perez but Mike upgraded with Wilson and St Max.

Nobody on Wearside thinks the man's a saint (well maybe just to wind mags up) but he's a perfectly decent owner who has the club financially stable in the Premier league. How exhausting is it to twist everything? Benitez would have loved Wilson, I'm sure. He's one of the better strikers outside the top clubs. No doubt he'd have swerved ASM and preferred to have kept Perez, but there's no denying ASM is a more gifted footballer than Perez is. If more prone to injury and less of a contribution to the defensive side of things.
End of the day, Ashley wants NUFC to stay in the Premier League on the cheap. He's got zero interest in where we finish, as long as it's above 18th. He wouldn't release £1.5m to pay the loan fee for Choudhury, despite carving £100-200k a week off the wages.
But on Wearside, the man's a saint. And obviously the man's a saint because you know he's limiting Newcastle United and is hated by the fans. If we loved him, you'd hate him. Isn't that a bit f***ing silly?
There are literally members on this very board with names like "Ashley In", "6inarow", there are at least 10 members with FTM somewhere in their name. This thread is one of the the most contributed to. Your man Exile seems to post mostly about Newcastle on here and on twitter. The matchday threads on here are longer for Newcastle than they are for other PL fixtures.I find that hard to believe coming from a set of supporters who still write 5under1and after a one off win many many years ago.
It’s hard for you to admit, but we are your life, that’s why you’re always on here and always will be.
So it's more about the perception of how unhappy Newcastle fans should feel? If a Bury fan were to hear how much we moan, they'd be justified in saying "Hang the fuck on there sunshine". But everyone's battles are their own. There are Man City fans bemoaning their club because they didn't land Messi or Kane, Liverpool fans are unhappy because they didn't strengthen their squad, all the way down the leagues.Nobody on Wearside thinks the man's a saint (well maybe just to wind mags up) but he's a perfectly decent owner who has the club financially stable in the Premier league.
Yes it could be better but it could certainly be a lot worse.

Lets call it how it is, there are fans on both sides of the divide who care as much about hating the other team, as they do about supporting their own.
Personally? I only hate you lot for about 4 weeks of any season where we're in the same league (day of the derby and the weeks before and after them). I enjoy you struggling, of course I do, but I'm not about to make shit up, or occupy patently ridiculous positions to point score on the internet.

When Short was still in town, did you hold off complaining because other teams have it worse? Did you bollocks.
