It's easier for young players, and he has age group caps too. His two appearances for the Bayern first team should guarantee him the permit. I'd expect the club have lined this up upfront.

Presumably Berlin had an option to buy from Bayern, which was less than the option to buy that they gave us, so next summer they would make a profit or have a further developed talent

Been covered to death.

He was at UB on loan with an option to buy. They’ve taken that option.

However, he’s been out with two relatively serious illnesses and so isn’t certain of a place in their first team.

They’ve loaned him to us with an option to buy (at a profit for them). If we don’t buy, hopefully we’ve given their player some game time to get back up to speed.
