Anybody looking at the way this club is run would think it was a league one club. No money, no ambition, just happy to take the revenue money and survive. Look at the way West Ham,Villa, Everton and Leicester are starting to open up an insurmountable gap between us and them in terms of investment and growth. Leeds and Wolves can be added to that mix too. , So now we are competing with the like of Palace, Norwich, Brentford etc. You could add the gates of those three clubs and it wouldn’t come to ours. So where’s all the money gone? Why do we have one of the largest fan bases in world football and yet we can’t compete on or off the pitch. It wasn’t like this 15 years ago."

James Madison was on loan at Aberdeen and he's done alright for himself - don't really get this tbh.

at a younger age. he had already performed well in league one with coventry before his move to norwich. he then lit up the championship and had a good first season in the prem before he was longstaff's age

A big catchment area is now equivalent to one of the largest fan bases in the world

Neither manager. It was the club that signed him. He arrived a day after Bruce signed but the deal was in place well before that. Obviously Bruce had no input. Ashley said in his daily mail interview in July 2019 that they could've had the deal done as early as February 2019, but Benitez didn't want him. He wanted Rondon made permanent instead.
The club were the ones who had pressed ahead and made this transfer
Thats not what Ashley said at all:
