Bedingham

Think someone said he has a British passport. Sure he's not a overseas anyway.

@GordonMuchallNo1Fan @brandon @The Red Telephone any ideas?
He is classed an overseas for this season and not sure how long his qualification time is with the new rules.
But he is all in with English cricket and spent the winter in the north east. That's probably why for both him and the club a long term contract even if he is classed as overseas for some or all of it suites both parties.

he was originally signed on an "ancestral" passport but then ruling on these were tightened after Brexit. He was re-signed temporarily as an overseas whilst his status as a british passport holder was reviewed. No upate since afaia.
Anyone know the latest crack/rumour regarding Bancroft for the remainder of the season?

I'd be surprised if we gave an overseas player such a long contract

Maybe but I feel you don't commit to your overseas so you can be flexible about signing a batsman, quick or a spinner
Although they have the flexibility of having two overseas and Bedingham is available for the entire season so no coming and going. Perhaps more the issue is do we really need to commit to both our overseas being specialist batsmen especially when it's becoming more difficult to find players who can commit for much more than s couple of months.
