Why the fuck would he? Or why should he? It's a business that's ran sustainably. They've still spent hundreds of millions over the last 4 years and he gets death threats, dogs abuse and nothing but bile after he saved them. I ask every mag who twists about their club the same two questions.

1) where do you think Newcastle should be in the table

2) what is your reasoning for that position?

It trips them up every time.

I think we should be where we finish after 38 games as that's how the league works.

Don't really know how else to answer. I would like to see us avoiding circling the drain and being in the mix for relagation each season.

He's got a good few games left yet, one thing Ashley isn't is a kneejerker, he will stick by Bruce unless it gets really really bad.

He has always stuck by his managers, even the great Rafa when he took them down, he kept him and also backed him big in the following season.
