Well quite but once they have best to support it as it failing makes things even worse.I agree hence why they don't need to waste ££ on another competition

No evidence whatsoever to suggest that would be the case.Well quite but once they have best to support it as it failing makes things even worse.
I have a feeling mate, that whether people agree with you or not will depend entirely on which teams are included in any domestic completion that is less than 18 teams!!Agreed! and they also don't need any domestic competition with 18 teams.

You should know my stance by now mate, would have been more than happy counties been included in it, in fact would have best option all round. No evidence whatsoever to suggest that would be the case.
On the other hand, if counties who’ve been excluded from the 16.4 go to the wall you’ve lost over 50% of your base support of the sport in this country.
As I have said many teams mate would have been best if the counties were included from the very start to keep all concerned happy. No evidence whatsoever to suggest that would be the case.

The problem is they don't go to Derby.as someone has just said, it teams go to the wall because of it, you will have parts of the country exposed. my nearest team is 80 miles away, I'm not gonna travel 80 miles to watch a game of "cricket" if Durham went to the wall for example.
Would Derbyshire fans go to Trent Bridge for example? I highly doubt it.
Durhams only concerns are off the field not on it. Clubs like Derby are hapless on and off it and have been for decades. The problem is they don't go to Derby.
As to me the most important thing is a fully promoted competition to get more kids and families involved.
ThisThe wheel didn’t need reinventing. It wasn’t broken, it didn’t need fixing.

As I have told you before Derbyshire Leicestershire and Northants would go. I would also look at some others as well.So what you’re saying is switch off the life support?
You say they’re hapless, but there are ‘bigger’ counties who’ve spent less time in the top tier of the Championship than them over the last 20 years. There are also counties who’ve done less for the national side than they have during that time too.
As I have told you before Derbyshire Leicestershire and Northants would go. I would also look at some others as well.
It doesn’t happen thoughI believe in regional cricket with each regional team responsible for developing the players in that entire region. Not everbodies cup of tea but personally I think its the way forward.
I’m fairly confident in saying that would massively impair the development of our cricketers. Also wouldn't have any players not qualified for England playing in first class cricket.
Turned this off, it was all over![]()
