It'll be blind hope, and the repeated messages from PCP and Ashley that say they're still fully committed and reports from journalists saying the Saudis are still keen if the arbitration and competition lawsuits go in favour of Ashley & the club.
I stil think it will happen, money talks ultimately and there‘s simply too much of it at stake. The only thing that will stop it happening if if the PIF decide to buy a club elsewhere. The fact it is still rumbling on in the background speaks volumes imho.

I’m completely against this happening in football personally, be it the mags or anyone else, I think it’s appalling that we’re prepared to sell off our regional football teams to such a despotic regime of murdering bastards. And no I don’t think it’s the same as them buying minority shares in publicly traded companies like Uber or Disney in case any of our resident mags want to pipe up with that one.

Has there been anything concrete from Ashley or the Saudis actually stating its still on if the PL say so. By that I mean a direct quote from either side rather than an article from twitter?

😂😂

The Saudis have fucked off. Doesn't matter how much Mandy bangs on about it being unfair, she's only after her commission and Mike wants to sell tickets with minimum outlay. It's dead as a dead dodo who's been dead for ages. Imbeciles 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Concrete? The man is a f***ing liar. If he said it was Tuesday I'd not believe him.

I am convinced, however, that Mike Ashley is desperate to sell to the Saudis because they're the only ones who were offering him the kind of money he wanted. I'm convinced Staveley wants a piece of the pie. The Saudis will still want to sportswash their way into the Premier League.

It's not happening man you gullible pan of broth heed get over it ffs

Wilson has it at present. Says it all really.

Having strikers like Defoe, Bent, Gyan, Cisse and Stewart play for us in recent years, we've seen much bigger names play for us than they have.

Yeah I'm convinced that Ashley wants to sell to them too. I'm also convinced Staveley does too.
But to answer the question there has been nothing from buyer or seller in over a year saying that the deal is still a possibility. All just pure speculation from dafties on twitter and the chronicle.
