England v India (2nd test) Lords

Trying to introduce a positive(ish) note......at least test cricket generates so much genuine emotion, fantastic when we are winning, desperation when we are losing and last night's WI v Pakistan was as good a drama as you could wish to see, even though most of us have no affiliation to either side. Compare that with the 16.4 and I genuinely can't remember anything about any of the games I've seen.

Always been a huge fan of Buttler, few I'd rather have in this position than him.
Just a quick look there and he’s faced the most balls of anyone in the innings, I think if he’s got an obvious cause to fight for he’s dogged and determined in equal measure. Unfortunately I expect him to fall.
I’ll take a critical view on Kholi.

By batting for two overs after lunch he took four overs out of the game (they wouldn’t have lost any for a change of innings had he done so at lunch). Was that needlessly risk averse?
I must admit I was over the moon they didn’t declare at lunch.

Conversely, would we have started so deadfully (probably, yes) if the openers had time to compose themselves over the lunch break?

Absolutely. That match was outstanding, watched most of the 4 days. Tremendous Test Cricket.

He's doing well. Although every dot ball he defends being another dagger through my heart, obviously.

I would give vince another shot first then we can put the red pen through his name after his next fail.

Or simply names in a hat and see who we. Draw out
My theory has been that we should just pick more all rounders and at least have the bowling options, as their batting average won’t be any worse than Sibley, Burns, etc., could easily get more runs opening with Jordan and Sam Curran as those two muppets get
