England v India (2nd test) Lords

I think India are a couple of lofty blows over the ropes from guaranteeing themselves a draw. The likelihood of England chasing down 3 an over against their attack on day 5 with Burns, Sibley and Hameed occupying the top three spots is slim.

csbt see them chasing it in 60-65 overs like

he was bang out of order like

bowling deliberate no balls
As I said we’ll how it plays out. If they need another 120/130 with around 30 overs left and wickets in hand they’d go for it. They got a lot of stick after New Zealand (wrongly imo) which might give them more incentive to chase it

Maybe but these 2 aren’t even out yet!

hate these sessions

well roots not sending him out

he’s the opening batsman it’s his job
If you're chasing a challenging total in two sessions you send pinch hitter not a blocker out to bat, then bring in the blocker if it's going tits up. E.g. Stokes and Buttler coming out to bat against WI last year.

mate we got along well but if you are seriously suggesting we open with Buttler in this last innings then there’s not much I can say

it’s such an obviously bad idea that shouldn’t happen

All this talk of us chasing or not is academical when Shami is smashing Moeen for 4 through extra cover. We can't chase when they are still batting.
