There are some things you never forget or forgive.Moyes was a disaster but I’ve let it go now. It doesn’t help us move forward.
I have already made this comparison to the season you went down and Keane had money thrown at him and came back up - you attendances were still lower than the norm.
That was after 2 shit seasons in the PL as @gatopreto said which we got getting 19 and then 15 points. The Mags would be missing 1,000's if they went through the same shit the seasons prior and they wouldn't have all flocked back either. I know we don't get as many fans as the Mags but if both teams went through the same shite, I think everyone knows which club would lose the most fans. This is the big difference between our fans, we know we're shite when in the Premier League and don't expect much as the Mags. Many Mags like yourself think the 90's big spending is they club you are and should be so this is why you go on like you do.I linked a few of your championship seasons though - which one was Keane?
Edit - Just checked, you averaged 31k that season - did you not also have a manager then fans loved and win the league?
He keeps prodding at things he thinks he can bait us with and I see he's back again about attendances. I had a dabble with him yesterday morning and he's a '92er and in then end ignored this postYour name. Bit disingenuous isn’t it? Doing nowt but have a go at Sunderland. Your defence no doubt will be Sunderland fans having a go at you. No defence at all, you’re on a Sunderland message board voluntarily.

Canny group, decent first hit record.to even ask is heresy
Attendances definitely increased towards the end of the season as we gathered momentum on an unbelievable run. We were mid table at Christmas. For some, that 15 point season scarred them. Newcastle have nothing to compare to those 15 and 19 point seasons, you are too well ran by your owner. They didn't return though did they, even when you were doing well in the championship. That was my original point.
I have no idea about him. He might be a thoroughly decent human being. At the end of the day he’s a mag and at the end of every discussion my outlook will be swayed by this fact. I have workmates who are mags and I can converse with them normally, except about football. That was after 2 shit seasons in the PL as @gatopreto said which we got getting 19 and then 15 points. If you wanna still wanna talk about crowd numbers then I'll just leave this here as you were just too young to know this happened in 1991.

Check out the 10,004 for the Oxford game in April 1991 and the packed terraces. You may think the video thumbnail is the few Oxford supporters scattered on the terraces but you'd be wrong as they're not jumping about at 40 secs when Oxford score

That’s unfair they weren’t invented until 1992 and their famus fans were createdThat was after 2 shit seasons in the PL as @gatopreto said which we got getting 19 and then 15 points. Lingard is pretty much an out and out winger, Willock is not. He's more a box to box central midfielder.
