England v India (2nd test) Lords

You would think, given how long Anderson his been in the game, getting coached and playing with the best that he would develop some form of batting technique to atleast defend a straight delivery

His eyes have probably gone a couple years ago tbf to him

My take on the first as missed today’s chat.
Would have taken this score any day of the week no blame on the tail what so ever

Curran isn’t international class and never will be he should be no where near test cricket

Sibley has to be dropped too slow rate which I wouldn’t mind but his scores do not merit staying about.

Happy with bairstow and Ali been in and out of the squad but looked good today.

buttler always questions to be asked but I think that’s down to him not playing his natural game in red ball I do like the bloke but foakes surely must think he can nick ahead of him competition is good.

Glad to be ahead by a small margin a few quick wickets tomorrow and the place will be buzzing.

had a canny drink today so probably talking shite.

Let's not blame the tail here......at least 2/3 of the top order should have contributed more.
Then we're looking at a 50+ lead...
Keep pointing it out, but why do our batsmen keep exposing 9 and 10 to the strike? Root let Robinson and Wood take 50% or more of the deliveries. However good these two might think they are, they're sloggers and a well set batsman should keep them off strike unless we are playing for a declaration. Correctly marshalled the strike with Anderson, but Jimmy played a daft shot.

At 39 mate his eyes won’t be as good as they were if he can continue to get wickets as our number 11 il be happy if our number 2 and 3 could do their job we wouldn’t be questioning an 11

I think India have made a big mistake in bowling all that short stuff to Anderson at the end. He's effective enough when he's his usual grumpy self. All they've done is pissed him off to the point where he'll be unplayable if he channels that anger.

I'd take 391, given we were at 119 for 3, with a fairly fragile batting line-up. It's an awkward third innings for India. An early collapse and they are in big trouble.

England have fought back really well after that bleak first test and first day of this one.

Pakistan tagging in for the 3rd innings? It'd be an interesting concept having a Sub Contintental Lions touring team.
