Be beyond funny if he went somewhere else. Especially Everton

It would be fantastic!

As far as I can tell he is good friends with Nketieh, Saka and Sancho...Sancho is close by and it could swing it.

It would also be so funny if Newcastle want him on a five year deal (like recent signings) but he only wants to commit to 3 or 4 years. Huge risk he goes there for a big fee, they have a struggling season and he ends up plodding around in the Champ for a while with a massive fee around his neck.

Turns out I was almost right "Newcastle want to give him 6 years he asked for 4 and the wages are a problem". He is buying time.

Really surprised the transfer has got this far tbh. The shite they served up last season was taking them down and he saved their bacon - they will be expecting miracles again from him this season. Having shown how good he could be last season, he could easily move to a less basket case type of club with more PL stability.

Well, I hope he turns them down and Ashley has to face the music. Well, when I say music I mean the Geordie Nashun singing "Oot Oot Oot"

Its a shame they did'nt get Rafa back to buy more awful players this summer. Bruce has signed easily their 3 best players not that he'll get any credit for it though.

He's a quality footballer.
A 6 year deal is mental.

It means they can spread the fee over the life of the deal, in the accounts. Big risk for the kid, as if they go down, he will risk being in the Championship with a 20m+ price tag around his neck. Hopefully he secured a low level release clause.
