England v India (2nd test) Lords

Athers suggesting County games should be played at the same time as the 16.4 ;), think it's a good idea myself.

That was painful to watch, tiptoeing round the subject under pain of the sack. How many different ways can you say the 16.4 is shit and has made life impossible for the players, without saying the 16.4 is shit and has made life impossible for the players?

County games played by reserve teams in out ground is the idea, they are prepared to sacrifice absolutely everything.

It was astonishing really, I thought it was clear what Atherton was saying but yet he just couldn’t bring himself to come out and say it.

It's been crowbarred into the summer at the expense of the Test game, they don't have the grapefruits to question it ;)

on a positive note, great to see Hameed back in the side as he looked like a test player a few years back.

Just to mention, chuffed to see Haseeb come back. Having watched him come up, and having commented at the time that it was too early for a Test call up, and watching him fall apart at Lancs. Hope beyond hope he does well.

His sky contract probably depends on it.

Hameed is an opening batsman. He should be in for Sibley. If Pope is fit enough to play for Surrey he should be in for Crawley. The selection of Ali now makes the selection process look ridiculous for leaving him out prior.

This is a shambles. There’s very little joined up thinking anywhere
There hasn’t been since the second Test in India.

I don’t think it reflects well on Silverwood.
