Very different players.
I think there are enough similarities there for west ham to say, if we aren't getting lingard then willock looks a great value signing for 20 odd million. Although willock plays a bit deeper , he likes to carry the ball like lingard and has an eye for goal. Right now lingard is better, but theres alot of time for him to improve.

Lingard is pretty much an out and out winger, Willock is not. He's more a box to box central midfielder.

Lingard is not an out and out winger , hes an attacking midfielder who has been shifted put on the wing. His best position is in the centre of midfield , attacking. He would get put on the wing as he was pacey and could do that job.

Imagine thinking lingard is an out an out winger, got shown up again and didn't come back for more, mag idiot . The two players are very similar, I bet you have never seen willock with your own eyes.

Got shown up and didn't come back? What the fuck are you talking about?
I'm not the one that didn't know who was in the Euro squad fella. I wouldn't be giving it the biggun if I was you 🤣

Genuinely didn't get the notification and if I did, I missed it.

Where do England and West Ham play Lingard?

Edit - I will lend you a hand, since 2019 he has only ever played LW or RW for England.

I held my hands up and came back. You think lingard is an out and out winger?! Him and willock are so similar, I'll give it the bigun, but I'll also admit when I'm wrong.

Check the edit fella.

Lingard is used predominantly as a winger these days.

You wouldn't know where he plays for England though, because clearly you haven't got a f***ing clue about the team 🤣

It's not a notification, it's you saying lingard is an out an out winger and him and willock shouldn't be compared, I'm saying they pretty much play and occupy the same part of the pitch .

These days? For west ham ? Well you're wrong there. AGAIN

Cant be too hard to make fish fingers and type...
Sorry about that,

Suggests he has played 68x as either a winger or a right/left midfield. Most of which have come more recently.

But you are right, earlier in his career he was used in a central position. Especially during his loans.

Perhaps the phrase 'out and out' winger was wrong - however he's more of a winger than Willock.
