It's about having a squad and depth in that squad. Yes they were all fringe players, but the squad was wafer thing before they exited. We are even more likely to rely on players like Hendrick etc this season.

Yes we have trimmed the fat, but we haven't strengthened.

Also, he's deffo a mag 🤣

I couldn't name who the fuck you released. I don't even know have of your first team. That level of knowledge is either because he's obsessed and a sad bastard or a mag.

Hoping for his sake it's the latter 🤣

I’m just a clued up football fan, unlike you clearly

Then you would know the reason we released these players (apart from them not being good enough) was to free up funds. Removing them off the wage bill in order to move forward.

If we don't do that, we haven't improved.

Feel free to bookmark before I’ve even stated my point......

After a flash in the pan loan spell, this will turn out like us signing Borini

Treading water. No worse no better than the squad that ended last season.

1 more decent signing and it’s a better squad no doubt about it
Even the mags on here know you're a mag man it's absolutely f***ing hilarious
Absolute hoot

Unforunate, I like the look of him - I don't think he's quite good enough for a top half prem team, but he's 21 and English so it's a decent deal in a world where Ben White is worth 50m.

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.

We are also all just assuming it's a done deal - there is no reason to believe this until it's done.
Aye, I'm not counting any chickens until it's confirmed a done deal by the club, the player and the ITKs on here.

Getting shot of some of the deadwood like Carroll and Muto is good, but we haven't improved the side that ended last season, just maintained it. We've still got fuck all quality depth up front, only one player who can play as defensive mid properly and we're still using average wingers as wingbacks.

Most likely spend a fair amount of the season in the relegation conversation, Bruce will talk up every opposition and talk down the club, we'll hear that there'll be a takeover update around the new year, get a couple of bums on loan and end up anywhere between 12th and 18th. Can't wait.

Villa clearly bigger than mags and have won a European Cup. Brentford and Palace a bit tongue in cheek but Soton is a way more attractive club at the moment than mags due to recent success in player development. If I was a 21 year old living in London I would far rather the 120 miles to Soton than the 280 to Newcastle. Guess they weren't in for him. Likewise other clubs he would drive past to get to mags....Leicester, Leeds.
Is there a Southampton in France too????

Cheers for some sense. Sure yous'll let us know when it's proper done. Would be a cracking signing; hope he shans you off te fuck still, but looks like you'll get him.

That's how I see you as an outsider looking in. Not sure you will get away with playing 3-5-2 with wingers as full backs all season.Worked last year after Xmas but. Palace Brentford plus one other for me

Actually that's exactly what was going through my mind as well.. Maybe I'm wrong, but he was a little too prolific and strongly suggested he was benefitting from the proverbial gamblers term a 'hot hand'.
