Well that goal scoring streak has put a premium on him, so he's evidently overvalued unless he maintains it. I never said Graham would score 20 goals, but you were probably another poster demanding we signed someone at the time who now plays for Spalding.

The comparison with Jon Stead was because he had a hot scoring streak at Blackburn which propelled him to the edge of the England squad. The rest is history. It sounds as if you might be too young to remember that.

No I don't think I was demanding anything, but its not like you to make stuff up is it? Spalding was about Grahams limit.

I'd suggest he's shown to be worth 20m and lots of Arsenal fans are posting that they are sad to see him leave.

Which is really my point, every time you big a potential Sunderland signing up, you are made to look utterly stupid but it doesn’t stop you. I never said it was a full season, I said his first season at Blackburn. He only scored 8 for Blackburn overall, who propelled Jon Stead to the verge of the England squad? Probably you if history is anything to go by.

So Jon Stead said it and that makes it on the verge? Tord Grip was impressed but no quotes from him and guess what? Stead never made the squad, because of an 8 game streak and no one is suggesting that Willock will too.
anyhow this isn’t about Jon Stead, it’s about Willock and that will have differing opinions, no issue with that. My point was that because of your propensity to talk shite, no one should take notice of you. I couldn’t give a shite what they pay for him, he was good for them in his errrm “hot streak” but who knows, he might bow out like Jon Stead did :lol:

They are pretty well stacked in midfield tbf. Think they were expecting Xhaka to go to Roma but he's stayed and they want Maddison as well as having Smith-Rowe. That's Xhaka, Partey, Elneny, Torreira, Maitland-Niles, Lokonga they've just signed, Smith-Rowe and potentially Maddison they have for that area of the pitch. Makes sense to sell him and use the cash to help fund Maddison deal and include a buy back option on him if he develops.

Didn't realise Xhaka handy gone tbh...still think Willock showed at the Mags that he's worth a go.
