Did you not find it that way aiming for 17th each year, circling the drain again and again? I certainly do like. It's not what you aim for or enjoy as a fan surely.
It’s not fun. But soul destroying? Haway you don’t believe that do you honestly? We had some brilliant times, games etc. Not enough but give me playing in the prem any day over this shit.

Would you swap places with us?
No of course not. This isn't about a monopoly on misery mage. I see our situation now as similar to yours a few years back in terms of essentially hoping for 17th.

And whilst I wouldn't swap places, it only takes a few seasons and who's to say we won't have?

Then you will cry for seasons like you’ve had recently in the prem.

Yeah there's high points and great days, but that's mostly from your mates being around you (for me anyway). I don't look forward to match days for the game anymore. And I don't feel I'm in a minority in that. Which ultimately is not good as a fan to feel like that.

Aye, it's all relative.

It's not hard. It's just soul destroying. A pointless slog to 17th. It's a feeling Sunderland fans know as well as any other set of fans.
I used to always look at the prem to just stay up and to then try and push on in the league and fa cup. Used to really annoy me when we’d go out early doors or play a rotated team.

Yes I can see that happening too mind. Just have to see. I'm going to wait to hear what the new match day experience is like myself before I return to the SOL.
He needn't worry, think we are going to have very large, visible gaps. But I'm sure there'll be a few who are worried about it and don't return straight away. Shame as he's had a season ticket for over 40 years.

100%. Give me a cup and relegation any day of the week.

Would you swap places with us?
No obviously not.
People can be unhappy even if there's somebody else worse off. Would Sunderland want to swap places with Bolton or Bury? No.
You can still want better for your team and be unhappy with it wherever you are. It could be worse for us, but also could be better. Could be worse for Sunderland as well.

If I want more money or a bigger house than I've got, but just because there's people poorer than me doesn't mean I'm not allowed to be unhappy with what I've got

That's the bit I don't get. She's quite clearly and so obviously a grifter. A tyre kicker. And the joke is with all this focus on her, any other potential (genuine) buyers aren't gonna want to know. So actually, any takeover is being put back by all of this, not advanced.

Any takeover you get from now won’t be deemed good enough from the unwashed deluded amongst your fan base.

That's why people need to move on. Not that long ago it was anyone but Ashley, now the narrative has changed and a section of our fanbase are being totally and completely played, and are falling for it hook, line and sinker.

After a false sniff of Awab Trillionaires instead of "anyone but Ashley", the next owners are likely to feel very unwelcome even if very well-heeled.

aye, literally It’s Moyes taking over after Fergie has retired.
