This. There's all manner of ways they could have laundered the purchasing vehicle for this and yet they haven't. It's long dead - it's just in the interests of Staveley and Ashley to keep doing a Weekend at Bernie's on the corpse.
Agree the staveley interview with Jordan was telling.
She was sounding off, got snappy with Jordan throughout. It wasn’t the display of Behaviour of someone who was confident.
Jordan smugly saying ‘are the Saudis still involved’ he’s not daft he’ll know more than he lets on, he stinks of someone who takes pleasure in ‘told you so’

Does Amanda have direct contact with PiF or important MBS or anyone close to him? I don't see any evidence of this. Wraith refers to being in contact with people on both sides, but again I suspect not PIF.

If you read the transcript from the Barclays - PCP case ( ) there is little evidence of regular contact between AS and Sheik Mansoour - he joined a meeting, she was at, on speakerphone. I was sure the opposition lawyer asked if she had the ability to call him but can't find that bit in the transcript.

Amnesty international have a big say in it even if they admit to just urging the PL to think twice about accepting it. Bien sports deal of 400m seems to run out possibly at the end of this season and im sure they will be discussing further deals even at this present time.

It wont go ahead.

From the athletic article they reckoned that both parties had issues getting information out of Saudi Arabia. It’ll not go ahead through arbitration imo but it’ll be interesting to see how the CAT case goes. Got to ask if they still even want to buy the club

Exactly mate. Get the impression when Simon Jordan asked Amanda Staveley if the Saudi's were still there twice she hesitated both times and said the original consortium were still there. I sort of get the impression she wasn't allowed to say whether that was down to legal issues I am not sure. They did pull out of the deal but Staveley is probably awaiting to see what happens with Arbitration and the CAT case and if they get approval will go back to them. I don't think this will go through personally. If it was going to happen it would have by now. The Premier League can keep delaying and ignoring and they'll soon get sick. At the end of the day like Simon Jordan said the Premier League work for the 20 club members. If they vote not to have another shark in the tank then it won't happen imo. By that I mean for this to go thorugh transparency is needed but that won't happen unless the other clubs agree that is should.

Interesting piece in the athletic. It’s pretty balanced and well thought out too. Essentially saying this CAT case ain’t starting anytime soon and that the CAT tribunal has never really handled a sporting case like this before so the premier league will have good grounds to get it chucked out/delayed. Also mentions that PIF would only come back to the table if there is a clear path for them - something that is very very unlikely to transpire from arbitration or CAT. In short - it’s not dead yet but in the final stages of attempted resuscitation.

The mags seem to make out that PIF are still desperate to take over, Steve wraith said yesterday that PIF are in contact with the club every week. I highly doubt any of that PIF walked away because they couldn't prove that PIF are not part of the Saudi government this has been well documented and is fact.

So now I think PIF after walking away have said to stavely and co basically we want nowt to do with this unless you create a clear pathway for us to takeover, hence Ashley and stavely going to court in a desperate attempt to try and get this through which they won't imo

Aye that was f***ing hilarious Rafa " I've managed lots of big clubs Madrid, Liverpool Chelsea etc etc "
Not a mention of the toon 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
Cant blame him for not mentioning them really. It's like if someone asks you which birds you shagged and you say.

Nicole from the nail bar and Jasmine from the hairdressers and you conveniently miss out Beryll who cleans the shithouse in the Bridges .

I think that might be the case mate.
Mags do this all the time - predict doom and gloom knowing well it won't be the case.

What has changed to say the 18th club will make up the 17 point gap?

A weak three promoted teams - Norwich, Brentford and Watford. Have they got a CW or ASM?

Burnley, Palace (and new manager) and Brighton all below you. Also Wolves with a new manager, unproven in the Prem, with 1.5 seasons under his belt, also below you.

In order to go own lots needs to go wrong at Newcastle and lots needs to go right at 3 of the above 7 teams.

Very true but at the same time funny as fuck because they idolised him and thought he did the same but speaking at his Everton press conference he mentioned just about every other club he's managed bar them 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

I wouldn't necessarily say it's unique to Newcastle fans to be pessimistic mind.

We have not added to our squad, and as things stand do not have Willock who won us a fair few points to lift us out of the danger zone. We have apparently a 10 million budget, which is not going to likely improve us massively.

We are again relying on ASM for any spark, which is alot of pressure on a player who will likely get injured. And we have manager who I believe to be out of his depth in the league.

We will be there or there abouts and right in the relegation mix.
