Alex Davies

brandon

Striker
Leaving Lancashire at the end of the season - really hope we’re in for him. Class player in all three formats.

Wants to 'keep and lost the gloves to Dane Vilas in all formats, Vilas is coming back next year.
Ah, I noticed Vilas had them at the weekend but didn't realise that was common. Having said, Davies is one of the most frantic players I've seen, maybe not the best thing for a keeper

It seems short sighted to me, but Vilas is the captain and I guess seniority has been pulled. They like this kid Lavelle who is the England U19 keeper as well.

If Buttler plays any games next year I guess England would want him to keep as well, so there's no path for Davies at all.
Burgess at Warwickshire has a very hand first class record, wonder if he is available
Is it that much better than Ned's?

Pretty happy with our 'keeper and if we were going to spend a bit of money on a solid county pro I would hope it would be a batsman.

I’ll be honest, and this is not a usual SMB response

I haven’t got a clue

Burgess averages 2 runs more in 4 day cricket, Eckersley is 8 and 1 higher in 50 over and t20. Ned also has 17 hundreds to Burgess' 3. Burgess has more catches per game but then Ned doesn't keep wicket every game.
