I feel following Newcastle's embarrassing defeat against a non-league team five divisions below them, it's important to note the weakened side that played against York today:

NUFC: Langley, Murphy, Fernandez (Dummett 69), Lascelles (Lewis 46), Watts, Ritchie, Hayden, Hendrick (M.Longstaff 60), Fraser (S.Longstaff 60), Joelinton (Gayle 18[Muto 80]), Wilson (Saint-Maximin 46).
Subs n/u: Thompson, Clark.

It’s such a lovely day that I thought I might drive up and hurl some abuse at any mags I might see in the vacinity of York Stadium. I first went around the local pubs and WMC and then up to the ground. I saw two black Tynedale coaches arrive to drop off their squad at the North Stand. There looked about half a dozen folk taking pictures with babies but not a mag strip anywhere.
I recognised another Sunderland exile from Easington Colliery near M&S and he said he expected loads of mags down but it was a poor show. He was looking forward to a day out on Wednesday and loads of folk who I know down here are going.
We’ll show the bastards. FTM

It went on general sale and was a piece of piss to make an account and buy tickets.

It certainly was - I got e-ticket ticket in South Stand for £12.00 after registering with my Sunderland address.

Also got train for only £18.60 return (departing from Dark Side to York and 21.30 Grand Central direct back to Sunderland - probably have to leave before end of match to ensure I catch it).

Aye me too. Got 4 tickets on Monday before opening up was confirmed. Just driving like but it'll probably cost me more in petrol than what you've paid for the train.
