Anyone else seen this, started a bit slow and there are very few likable characters. However is a good watch IMO

better than the West Wing, which I love but is a bit do good smug, this is the Murdoch family and all their machinations, they are all horrendous apart from Roman

he's the only one with a glimmer of compassion and humanity, I feel sorry for him but the others are jackals except the Ferris Bueller brother running for office, he is vain and stupid but hilarious

I suppose there’s a glimmer. Still can’t get past him tearing up that cheque in front of the kid in the first episode.

you do get past it when you hear about the horrendous abuse he got as a child, it was heart breaking, after that you get him and of all them he does actually have some kindness and generosity in him, but he is also young and may change

I still hold TWW as the best TV show ever but if Sucession keeps up it's form for another 2 or 3 seasons then we may have a new champion.

I love TWW, don't get me wrong, clocked it at least 5 times, but it does have an overriding smugness to it whereas Succession is biting and scathing and much more my thing, but you're right in terms of proven longevity and quality Succession needs to belt out a few more seasons

Always baffles me how people see the badness in people as more authentic than the goodness. The “smugness” in the west wing is just people trying their best. Why is it bad to aim higher than lower.
