That ludicrous incident when Eckersley took his pads off to bowl an over wouldn't have helped I imagine nor having a five man bowling attack with no spin.F*** the ECB
Must've been well behind the rate to be deducted 2 pts![]()

As it stands
Notts. 137 points.
Works. 131 points
Durham. 122 points
Essex. 118 points.
We play Notts at home. Essex travel to Derby and Warks away to Worcester.
I'd fancy Essex and Warwickshire to both win their matches. As it stands

Rarely anything other than a result pitch prepared at Durham. The problem is if they don't pick up batting points that could let Essex back in who Will probably hammer or Harmer hapless Derby.Bit of an advantage being at home in that we can prepare a result wicket, they’d have produced a road. Beat Notts and Durham will be top 2 surely
If we prepare a result wicket it'll probably finish with one team taking 19pts and the other taking 3pts...which team takes the 19 pts I cannot say.Bit of an advantage being at home in that we can prepare a result wicket, they’d have produced a road. Beat Notts and Durham will be top 2 surely
It's a pity as Durham have played some really good cricket in the championship this season but it could be that one calamitous days play at Chelmsford could spoil it.

FfsMartin Emmerson has just added to his original tweet to confirm that we have only taken 11pts from the game and not 13 as originally stated.
For anyone interested more in Durham rather than Amla it looks like we've been deducted 2pts for our slow over rate - that may have a massive consequence.
Be careful what you wish for. Looking at Notts squad they can put out the following pace attack, Broad, Dane Paterson, Fletcher, Hutton, James and Mullaney.Bit of an advantage being at home in that we can prepare a result wicket, they’d have produced a road. Indeed-and harsh imo with all the protocol regarding hand and ball sanitisation. For anyone interested more in Durham rather than Amla we've been deducted 2pts for our slow over rate - that may have a massive consequence.
Yeah, I’m just thinking the best chance of winning is probably to prepare a seamer friendly surface and hopefully out batting them.Be careful what you wish for. Looking at Notts squad they can put out the following pace attack, Broad, Dane Paterson, Fletcher, Hutton, James and Mullaney.
Probably would end up with a points deduction for a poor wicket.Yeah, I’m just thinking the best chance of winning is probably to prepare a seamer friendly surface and hopefully out batting them.
Early weather forecast suggests we might need a pitch that’ll produce a result inside 3 days to stand a chance of going throughBe careful what you wish for. Looking at Notts squad they can put out the following pace attack, Broad, Dane Paterson, Fletcher, Hutton, James and Mullaney.
