This is some of the crap I expect them to pull. Jordan, Dawson, Denly, Vince, overtons have all had their shot and are shite. Please don’t drag us through a series of that rubbish. Plenty of good potential future options out there, such as Jacks, Salt, Parkinson that deserve their go. Isn’t often you get a chance to blood youngsters in international cricket, so need to take advantage and find out who’s cut out for it and who isn’t - never know, some of these young ones could force their way into the World Cup squad

Definitely! but they need a few experienced players in there as well.

Completely agree.

Dawson is already part of this squad apparently which I didn’t realise so he’s isolating and is unavailable. Jacks, Salt, Hain, Brook, Helm - perfect opportunity with what will be next to no pressure on them.

You just know Denly and/or Vince will be there though

Not sure what experience Denly or Vince, for instance, would offer. You have stokes there to lead them, which I think is a good selection even if he isn’t at 100% himself. I’m not opposed to bringing back Hales too, but I don’t think these new lot of kids lack confidence or need experienced heads around them tbh. They’re brought up on T20 when every ball is a pressure moment so I’m sure they’re used to it by now. Would much rather they just took the pressure off and said we’ll probably lose but who cares we’re gonna play all the up and coming kids we’ve been watching for the past few seasons and see who flourishes and who wilts

If you mean Brook from Yorkshire he’s not a number 11 (or even a front line bowler) ;)
 
So they called up Banton for te 3rd game v Sri Lanka, didn't play him, and now he has to miss this series.
