I would imagine and hope a lot going on behind the scenes. Players contracts usually run till the end of June...Euros higher up the food chain...hopefully a busy week or two coming up.

I have been critical of Johnson but lets see what happens in the next few weeks.

Agree on the first bit.
As for Johnson, I don't think he'll actually be involved all that much. He'll be briefed on the options, but there's a team of people working on transfers, as far as I understand it.

Why do you bother, you've always managed to be wrong at every turn. People are pissed we are the worst we've ever been and all you do is try and make out everything is rosy. The fact you thought O'Brien was a good signing and continued to do so despite his abhorrent displays week in, week out means you should just pack in a feck off.

Only if they actually manage to sign these targets, if there's any truth in it that is.

Great. The next two weeks will have me grinning from ear to ear. I'm h-a-p-p-y. Let the good times roll. Going to put the disappointment of last season's summer signings behind me. I'm energised.

My old man thinks the same. Whether it’s blind faith or just being a positive soul - I appreciate seeing the positivity as it keeps my negative self reasonably quiet.

He reckons he's done nothing but look for players all summer. That was his crack the other day.
 
If we can be smart in the loan market too then we have a sniff of building a good team.

I'd quite like us to be in for the likes of Harvey Elliott on loan. He was at Blackburn last season and while they're a league above us, it would give him good experience at a bigger club/ground before he goes back to Liverpool.

I'd also like to see us go in for Neco Williams. Available from Liverpool (according to my contact), Welsh international and probably not on much money.
