I defs don't think appointing Rafa is worth the risk of splitting a fan base over like, much as I like him. Seems a pointless gamble.

Doesn't make him a better more high profile name than Bouncy Benitez
 
First thing he will do is make big Duncan his number 2. Duncan will scare the fans into liking him also the first 7 or 8 Everton games are very winnable.
Everton fans will be soon scribbling out the classy artwork on their own stadium "Fuck" will be replaced with "King" :D

This sounds like a lack of ambition for me, or is this the best Everton can get?

The old guard seem to get jobs still. I'm surprised Curbishley hasn't been in the bookies running.
