England women

Can't understand this indignation about playing on a "used" pitch. They're playing a 4 day match on a pitch that has been used for 1/2 a day. How's that different to England men playing on a pitch lasting 5 days?
Judging by the crowd, the T20 game had a bigger attendance than this test match, victory for simple economics over virtue signalling surely.

It’s an international match. Their first test in 2 years. Their only test of the summer.

the message it sends is that they’re of secondary importance.

They've been given a test venue, that indicates a priority venue. They're playing on a test pitch prepared and proven to be able to last for 5 days. It'll have been tidied, watered and rolled since the T20, be surprised if you'd be able to notice it had been played on.

They’re playing at Bristol, it’s never had a male test. It’s not a test ground in my mind

Equally if you think economics overrides, and the T20 is more important, I hope you think the Hundred takes priority over the Championship?
