New Pitch at The Stadium

I AM aware of it happening. The pitch was in immaculate condition prior to the first home games of the season against Charlton (2018) & Oxford (2019). I can't say the same about Bristol Rovers (2020) as I wasn't there to witness it. I was part of the 20 year SoL fans celebration photo in the middle of the pitch before the 2017 season (pre Donald) and the pitch was like a bowling green.
Sorry can you please clarify if you are aware of the work actually done in each close season or if you are basing your opinion on the state of the pitch on the opening match?
There's a big difference between slitting, improving and overseeding to laying a new pitch.
Not being awkward would just like to know, happy to accept if my understanding is incorrect.

There was a picture taken a couple of weeks ago that showed it had been stripped back to the sand underneath.

Cheers, that's going on now isn't it as we are laying a new pitch this close season.

I was just trying to clarify what had happened in the previous close seasons when SD was in charge as far as I was aware it was maintenance in those close seasons as against a new pitch this time.

im quoting publically disclosed information. go to the transfer threads to see the fanatsists operate
With respect thats not true.
The deal with SD JS CM was based on us getting promoted to complete a 75% share holding.
That would have left the 3 Amigos with the 25% split between them. SD having the larger share.
So when everyone was shouting its a full takeover it was NOT totally correct, yes he has over 50% but as I say the 3 Amigos are still here at his bequest.
The whole deal will change IF we go up and IF the new guy does join.
2 big IF 's

It was a takeover which ever way you want to dress it up.

I'm nee Monty Don but I know that up to 2019 the annual practice was to slice away the old turf (it was often dumped on the grass outside of the SoL) exposing a sandy type surface and the ground was re-seeded. By the 1st game of the season the turf was lush. Perhaps not a fancy-dan Tottenham Hotspuds process, but what has happened was a fact, not my opinion and a new surface was produced.

I bow to your superior knowledge mate
I certainly wasn't aware of that, always thought it was just basic maintenance

And that’s exactly what’s happened this summer …….. but it wasn’t done last year !!!

my point is about what happens between now and your IF....ie they have a significant shareholding and are funding it..though im interested that the others would stay on after any putatiive promotion..the fact they are here at his behest is itelsef interwtsing..why does he want them here? he has the ability to do it without them but is choosing not to?
