Nephew I think.

I asked the question before and I think that was the conclusion. Mr Reach was from the Chester Lee Street area as well and moved back there for work after I left Gilesgate comp so I'm told. He used to play for Newcastle Blue Star iirc.
 
Rekeem Harper 21 y/o from West Brom has passed a medical with Ipswich ahead of a move which could be worth as much as £1m including add-ons.

Are we going to be able to compete next season?

Portsmouth have agreed a deal for Stockley.

looks like we don't want to unless it costs us nowt. We want to become a "sustainable" League One team like Crewe or something

Paul Cook and the new Ipswich ownership getting stuff done it seems. Signing number 4 for them?

Side note: I don’t see how this signing is much different from us signing Sanderson. Gives me that ridiculously tiny bit of hope

the positve pin on it is..we are signing players that are hidden gems identified by data..everyone else is signing the obvious names..under donald we signed a lot of the obvious names to...and that didnt work

They certainly look like they're going for it, although they were a much worse team than ourselves last year, so it's a lot of ground to make up to then suddenly walk the league.

We've still not really had any indication of what our business is going to look like this summer, so all we can do is wait and see how it plays out. It's not like we're being linked with these players too and they're choosing to go elsewhere, so it's difficult to say if we're being left behind or not.

A lot of our key targets may be youngster loans from the top PL teams etc and those clubs won't be making decisions on those players until after pre-season starts, potential signings may still be on holiday (like Wyke) etc...I can see why people are getting twitchy but I think it's hard to judge until we see what things look like this time next month.

Fair point, but we're not building on the team we have, we are pretty much replacing it and could end up losing our 4 best players in the process.

I think Dozell and Downes are likely on their way from Ipswich too. I've not seen huge amounts of Harper but from what I have seen Downes looks a better player so it may be a downgrade for them overall.
