Absolutely spannered. Great venue, great atmosphere, Brummie people were absolutely brilliant.

Cannit see any of these top three ever having a long test career tbh. You'd be lucky to beat Zimbabwe when you're 20/3 (which we are quite often).

Terrible decision not to even attempt to chase that total. Said everything about the mentality of the team currently and new zealand have taken full advantage of it.

Also this policy of resting players in tests against superior opposition is just not working. We don't have the strength and depth to do it.

Slightly concerning the direction this group is headed.

Look at what the likes of Pant and Gill as young batsmen did for India to the Aussies in a similar situation over the winter, played without fear and won them a series
