Time, BBC1 tonight (Stephen Graham, Sean Bean)

how long is his son in for? i'd have thought if moving him didnt work he'd either quit or take a leave of absence if he could then then the kid would be safe. would be a boring story like.

Wouldn't work, they would kill or maim him anyway as a lesson to any others thinking about 'getting out'.

I thought it was quite realistic, obviously used artistic license to make it better for TV, but on the whole was pretty good and realistic.

Binge watched it earlier today.
Thought it was decent enough.
Aye, fairly realistic.
Prison life is an absolute piece of piss compared to being genuinely homeless for a sustained duration of time mind.

Well done drama. Gripping

I am thankful that I’ve been through most of my time on the planet with only minimal interaction with the kind of scum that typically end up as prison regulars and that I have lived the kind of life that didn’t expose me to risk of ever entering prison in any capacity. Utterly depressing to even consider what it must be like.

I spent one night in a police cell in Cleethorpes (long story) in the early 80s and that was quite enough to last a lifetime for me. I think I’d last about 5 minutes in prison before I was looking for a way out similar to the lad sharing Sean Beans cell in episode 1.

That was my thoughts. Fecking hellholes. Been in one with work n have a weird addiction to prison tv but ferk me must be awful for a ‘normal’ bloke to end up in one.

Good read....

A guy worked for me once, nice guy when he is sober, from the North side of the water, crack addict and has a drink problem, has been in nick 10 times for varying periods of time, I asked him did it bother him, he said not at all as he gets food and somewhere to kip.

The story above I put on is very similar to a friend of a friend. Think he was actually working for police in an IT role when he hit some walking gypsies on the a66 n got a few year.
Life turned upside down in seconds.

10 pence? He has a good writing style, as you say his life spun on its head super quick.
