The SOL yesterday

For those that went yesterday, how did you find attending a match under COVID restrictions?

Talking to people both inside and outside of ground, I can see a lot of SC holders (me included) giving games a miss if the restrictions are still in place in August.

Although the club deserve a lot of credit for the work they put in to get 10,000 to attend, the match day experience just isn’t the same and once the novelty of being back wears off, I can see us (and the majority of other clubs) struggling to get 10,000 to attend

We just have to hope all the restrictions do go on 21 June.
I didn't have a problem with it at all. It was well managed. Of course it would have been nice to have gone back to the way we were and had everyone in the ground.

I had a few drinks in a pub beforehand, walked to the ground, got in without queuing, straight to seats and it felt good being part of an atmosphere that was slowly building towards kick off. The atmosphere throughout was very good.

Loved being back and felt like I might have a heart attack after each goal as I failed catch my breath afterwards. In the south stand and it just felt like a class away day with the chanting before the match. Atmosphere was brilliant

can understand why it might be a fart on if it’s like this for next season but I will be at every game if possible

After speaking to a fair few inside and outside the ground I can see the majority of SC holders attending next season. Only couple of grumbles were the lack of a bar to take the edge off and the queue for a piss at half time, something the women have been doing for years.

Suppose it is everyones choice on whether to attend or not but I reckon if the restrictions are the same you will get 9-9500 (I am not counting you being in attendance) there every week especially if we are winning.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and would go back easy.

Clubs decision to allow fans to bring their own drinks in was a masterstroke.

Was in the North West Upper. Young steward must be no older than 19 waltzed up to row 16 to tell a youngun to sit down then he was on toilet duty at half time. Thought he was chief constable the arrogant pric#

Experience was absolutely fine. Supporters created a good atmosphere. Measures were fine. Got in and out no bother. Wore a mask. No problems.

Only thing I would say though totally unrelated to restrictions, is that it took a while to adjust to seeing the game live rather than on the telly after so long away.

The toilets will be a nightmare if restrictions are still in place, which hopefully they won’t be. Otherwise, it was great to be back, and nice to be sat next to proper supporters and not some of the whingers I usually sit next to.
Toilets were fine had to wait in a line but it was easy enough and well manned by the stewards, the experience yesterday was a lot better than I thought it would be and I’ll be going back again as soon as we are allowed

Thought it was (surprisingly) well organised. Strange being back after having Gillingham's last minute equaliser as my abiding memory of live football for the last 14 months. But the experience (bar the outcome) was a hell of a lot better than I was expecting.

Despite being told to wear a masks
Knobs like you will just prolong the problem
I didn’t wear a mask at any point whilst sat in my seat. Totally and utterly futile act.
Was fine. No bars open mind. Didn’t wear my mask when sat down like majority of others.
I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday, atmosphere was great.
Better than i thought it would be actually but ALL restrictions need to go June 21st.

It sounds like he was the exception rather than the rule.

Its good to see the club and the stewards generally getting praise for their organisation for once.
Stewards were class yesterday! Organised but not over the top at the same time, well done to the club for this

Stating the obvious here..but we missed the laughs, the moans, and just the general conversations about any topic (not just footie) that we always have with the folk who sit next/near to us on a normal matchday in the East Stand...Yesterday was by necessity a vastly different experience ( IMO) but hopefully the next time we all get back it will be in better days..

It was fine and well organised.

Good pre match craic again after such a long time.

As said in other posts the toilet situation is a worry.
