Always been my favourite of their team, seems a top man (although to be fair, when you hear them interviewed annoyingly lots of them seem to be).

Very true that - they all come across as decent blokes when interviewed on the field slightly different (although I don't subscribe to the blind hatred some apply to all opposing teams). He is a cracking bowler too especially considering the injury hassles he had

It's a great thing he's done but,

Trouble is, as so often money isn't an issue in this situation. Govt's have given and donated billions - the problem has always been supply of ppe, vaccine, ventilators and organisation, plenty of cash but not enough to spend it on.

India thought it had got away with it not many weeks ago and this is very sad to see.

I understand sports a relief etc, but when the problem is that they just cant afford basic oxygen supplies and people are dying on the street in their masses, you cant have IPL teams spending millions vaccinating and protecing foreign players in a bubble

its just beyond inappropriate IMO

At least the Aussie PM has said "no special treatment"

they did the same with the nba playoffs, held the whole thing in disneyworld (or whatever it is) bubbled all the teams, all getting tests twice a day or something, whilst normal people couldn't get hold of the test for love nor money
