West Indies Tour 2022

The T20's are only gonna be held in two different venues apparently, so guessing it'll be a 3/2 or 2/3 split.

If I go it'll be the last 2 or 3 of those for me most likely (my birthday is beginning of Feb too). In a break with tradition, I've offered to take the missus if she wants to go! She's undecided though.

A lot of people are banking on the 1st or 2nd test being in Barbados so booking two weeks holiday to cover both dates, prices have gone through the roof for flights etc apparently).
2/3 you would think looking at the dates

Not sure if this is anything to go by but I looked at booking for the T20's at the weekend with BA. Two weeks in St Lucia from 23rd Jan to 6th Feb with flights from LGW and including digs for one person was £1,166. The corresponding two weeks in Barbados was £1,851.

My eldest works for Tui, I'm keeping tabs with them mate. Hopefully last two or three T20's for me depending where it is.
Update from me mate at CWI

Hello Paddy

The venues for the England Tour are unlikely to be confirmed until mid June at the earliest due to conversations with governments and because of the impact of COVID on countries’ current planning, they’re not currently looking much beyond the next 3-6 months.

We will issue a press release once we have the venues are confirmed.

When I emailed it was a generic email address so I concocted a story about being a travel/cricket writer and any advice would help me prepare my trip.

I thowt I'd get a reply from some bored office worker but it was answered by some bigwig in the CWI organisation! (I've Googled him).

He's even asked about my "writing career" and how they may be to help me.

looks like waiting game.
Me plus 11 so far going back to Barbados 😎🏏🍺
Hopefully!!

where abouts you looking to stop?

FB Forum that we’re both on reckons Barbados first test. I’ve just took a punt on it (albeit I’ll only get 3.5 days of the test), BA are doing fully flexible flights.

I've been to Kensington Oval before so not high on my list. I'm probably gonna do the T20's cos they tie in with my birthday and I've ever been anywhere warm when it happens. 😊

Let me know if you want any Barbados tips. Avoid the prossies. Lifting. 😉

Ha cheers for that... might leave that one off Mrs NCB’s tour itinery then.

I’ve been too, but ages ago. May still swap the flights for the T20 dates if they’re there but wanted something in the bank now cos prices are going to shoot up any day now. I could still get shafted by them if it isn’t the first test.

No venue confirmed yet mate, Barbados is the (strong) rumour.

Tuesday 8 March to Saturday 12 March: 1st Test Match

Presuming it will be Barbados as they have to play at Barbados and Antuiga if there are tests, was told this by the bloke who took me on a tour of the oval last year.

might book it up on BA.

where are people stopping? Not sure to go AI and stop near the gap.
