Car sunroofs

What's the point?
Car shopping at the moment and found one I liked but it had a panoramic sunroof and it put me off.
Admittedly my experience of them is on basic hatchbacks over twenty years ago, but if a car has air con, I'm not sold on their usefulness.
Happy for the SMB to educate me.
I don’t like sun roofs had a few and can’t recall ever opening them

I've had couple of nice sounding cars and both have had the stereo upgrade (M5 had some fancy amp and speaker job whereas Golf R has Dynaudio).

I'd recommend toasting the b*stard with the music turned up.

I'm especially fond of acid techno at full blast on dark wet roads as it feels distinctly video game-like (with potential for real loss of a life)
  don't say you're one of those adults who play video games

I only slide the shades back
Do these shades stop the car being too hot on the two very hot days of the year we sometimes get ?
Panaromic roof is nice but useless really. Especially if you have ac. Had one in my previous motor. Was open about 3 times. New car doesn't have one and I fond it à little dark if I'm honest.
Air con can really dry your eyes and skin out and bothers people with some breathing problems .

Throws loads of light in car
The odd open moment for releasing the recirculation of farts and warm cold air gunge . Most models are to sell EU wide
It's a roof window really

Just keep the sun off your napper really , but they do keep the car cool if it's parked in the sun 🌞. Aircon regulates the temperature but I agree about the Aircon drying you out I do notice a little dry cough now and again .

I have a sunroof on my car and I love it. There’s nothing nicer than sitting tucked up in the car on a freezing cold day with the blinds drawn back watching a seagull walking over the roof.

I wish that my new car would have a sunroof too but I’m having a real problem trying to find one that is factory fitted.

My last car had one and I loved it, much lighter inside, current one feels a lot more enclosed.

Remember in the late 80’s getting a one fitted to my fiesta
Trying to remember the company - used to always advertise on metro radio for sunroofs and car radios
Robinsons ??
