A netflix account off 3 women in the SOE during WW2, based on a true story with a few historical inaccuracies. A cracking story and nothing but admiration for these people

Virginia Hall: American woman with a wooden leg
Vera Atkins: Romanian jew who had her application for UK citizenship during the war
Noor Inayet Knan: George Cross & Croix de Guerre A Muslim women who was executed at Dachau

Made In Italy (2020) Liam Neeson and his real life son Michaèl Richardson about an estranged father and his son’s trip to Italy. Bit of a slow burner but a canny feel good film. 8/10

The Blob (1958) One of my childhood favourites. A cult classic and Steve McQueen’s first film. Most of the acting is very tongue in cheek but still an entertaining film to watch. 6/10

SAS: Red Notice - 2/10

I stuck this on for a bit of escapism but there was little entertainment to be found and even less acting ability.

The premise of the film is fine, but the way in which it is delivered is terrible with Ruby Rose being a completely unbelievable baddie. The worst part of this though was the psychopath angle. There's some comment by Tom Wilkinson early on in the film that less than 1% of people are psychopaths, but we have 3 declared on display in this film, possibly a 4th and a 5th that is mentioned. The fact that our hero is a psychopath who is redeemed by love for a woman is just the last ridiculous part of a absurd story.

Your generous with the 2/10, that film was total wank 👍🎥

How did they have a netflix account during ww2?

These final hours - Australian end of world film. A catastrophic end of the world event has occurred and its slowly making its way across the planet towards Australia. A bloke decides to spend his final hours getting hammered at a party and the film is all about getting there as the world around him falls into chaos.

Right up my street and enjoyed it 7.4 out of 10. Shudder on Amazon video.

Brawl in cell block 99. Bloke gets into some bother and makes a couple of dodgy decisions putting him in the slammer, with knock on repercussions. Some brutal scenes and enjoyable, albeit slow starting pace. 7.8/10. Amazon video (rental).
Beyond Skyline - Alien type sequel to Skyline. Mindless couple of hours for alien film fans, better than i thought it was going to be. 6.8. Netflix

Skyliner - third in the trilogy, aliens type affair. Not as good as the previous 2 but watchable if you enjoy these types. 6.37/10. Netflix

War with Grandpa (Amazon Prime) - 6/10

If you after a bit lighthearted escapism then this isn’t too bad.

Godzilla vs Kong - 7/10

As a big fan of the original Godzilla and Kong films, I found this fun to watch, turn off your brain at the start and just watch.

Godzilla and Kong have a bit of a dust up, then have a threesome with lost Transformer Grimlock....

Creation Stories - The tale of Creation Records label head Alan McGee. 6.5/10

loads of people in this, adapted by Irvine Welsh and has the feel of trainspotting. Has some good bits in it. Not great, but worth a watch.
