Right, but you're guilty of the same thing you're accusing these Newcastle fans of doing. By the same logic I could say 'well in the early 1900s we were hugely successful, so that's a more accurate representation of our history'. Why stop at 1990?That's what you did prior to the Keegan era, though in fact you weren't circling the drain, you were hanging onto the drain edge by a couple of fingers prior to 1992

So, by that token, will you see being in the Championship as the ceiling and back where you belong? They just don't get it that their 10-15 glory years (won nowt) were an anomaly.
Shh, don't you worry yourself, the adults are talking.See that boring bastard still desperate for a conversation with Sunderland fans on a forum that apparently gets a bad reputation on the internet
WATTBA
Prior to 1992, our overall average position was higher than you, ner ner ner nah ner ner!So, by that token, will you see being in the Championship as the ceiling and back where you belong?

Ha! But know what I mean? We can draw the line for history wherever suits. Is 1910 relevant to 2021? I think if we're talking about Bournemouth I get it because their stadium is a matchbox. I think both our teams have the potential to be far bigger than they are right now. To me, the only notable difference is that we've been up there during the Premier League era (regardless of how we did it).Prior to 1992, our overall average position was higher than you, ner ner ner nah ner ner!![]()
Tbh they have always had a bigger dislike for Bruce than we ever have had....but i think that goes back to his Man U playing days rather than his spell with usI'm all for laughing at the daft black and white knackers but that's a ludicrous statement! Ashley is an absolute w*nker and we'd be going just as mental if he was foisting Steve Bruce on us
You're right there like, Ashley is a shite owner, nobody else would have Bruce in a prem job in 2021.I'm all for laughing at the daft black and white knackers but that's a ludicrous statement! Ashley is an absolute w*nker and we'd be going just as mental if he was foisting Steve Bruce on us
Yes it does. By all accounts there are lots of interested parties however they aren't prepared to match his price Anyone doing business for blood money is reprehensible but that's not what I asked. And he's going to court for compensation regards the deal, not to rekindle it. It'll never ever get through and he knows it.Well for one he wants to sell to the Saudis so much so he is prepared to go to court over it. You are very keen to say any fans wanting the Saudis are scum, so I guess he's guilty of being prepared to sell to them? Does that make him scum you think?
No but you keep blaming Ashley for denying you past glories which in reality there aren't anySo I've got this right - and good on you for doing this much research - because we haven't always sold out our stadium we should be content with circling the drain under Mike Ashley?

1992 is one of the biggest lines as that's when the money came when the Premier League blossomed. You spent big as a few clubs chasing success and some got rewards and won things, you didn't and the money required for success eventually ran out and Hall bailed as the glory ship started to take on more water than it could bail out.Ha! Your new owner has links to Abu Dhabi's equivalent of PIF, who themselves aren't at the forefront of human rights.Yes it does. I asked what case the fans had against him and what he's done crimes wise against the club?
I don't suppose you know?
as long as it was the away end, they'd get fully behind thatHoy gays off the away section
R3 - Plymouth (relegated from Div 2 that seasonNewcastle last won the FA cup in 1955 but not many will know that they played their semi final match at Roker park, we finished fourth in division one but only the winners qualified for Europe back then and we've never been the same since.
I think that section has diminished and disappeared tbh. I also think when I see Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Leicester, et al all buying new training grounds and even yourselves having a spaceship compared to our peddle bike, it's fair to ask where the money is going.1992 is one of the biggest lines as that's when the money came when the Premier League blossomed. We do both have potential but I think it will cost even more to attract top players to come way up North so it also relies on good recruitment and development of youngsters. This is where Ashley's regime has done well in the recruitment in some seasons, yet we've all heard the moans about NET spend. It's because you bought players and then made more money selling them on that affected your NET spend. We spent £10's millions also but got very little back in return from players and it cost us big time and this is what happens to most clubs.
The development side again is shite being up North as other clubs tempt the young ones away with money, gifts and a dream of making it big etc. The huge f***ing difference is the way many of your fans have gone on since the 'glory' years compared to ours. This is why we come out with deluded and self entitled to take the piss as there's no other clubs fans who have gone on like you have(maybe not you individually but a section of your fan base)
Nothing criminal as far as I'm aware pal. Think it's the stagnation that people struggle with generally. Bad managerial appointments etc.Yes it does. I read the Mag and the comments mate. General consensus on there is he's spent on retail businesses though not one shred of evidence. When you look at what he's spent over the years and the fact you're in the PL at the moment he gets a lot of undue shit. I'm not surprised if he wants to piss you all off by doing the exact opposite of what you want. He's spent over £100M and smashed your transfer record as it stood in the last 2 years. He also saved a sinking ship when Hall bailed. You could have done a Leeds had he not.Nothing criminal as far as I'm aware pal. Think it's the stagnation that people struggle with generally.
