I think if he is purposely trying to relegate you it so he can start the process again. There's no way he's selling in the Championship at a lower fee. Rinse and repeat.

I like to think he's doing it on purpose to manage your ridiculous high expectations and to piss you off after all the shit you've given him and the way you gan on 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Would be funny like just keeping them going up and down so he can keep making a bit coin each year even if its only like 1m.

A big fuck you to them for all the shit hes got.

Where has all the money gone that Big Mike has taken out of the club?
It’s just one of those urban myths. The scruffs refuse to accept that they can’t compete financially with the big boys so keep repeating that Ashley uses the club’s money to buy up the high street shops. The likes of Rosco fall for it every time.

It looks like all the new contracts have and still are being put into place ready for the championship.
We are potentially 100% nailed on for the championship and I don't see anything that tells me any different.

Players to go will be the saint, Miggy, Dubravka, Wilson, Lascelles (maybe) Joelinton (for a massive loss)...and maybe one or two others.
It'll leave us with a very very good championship squad with likely decent championship additions.

A wage bill that will likely be cut down to size and also a stab at fighting for promotion places. And likely....either, having a stab at getting straight back into the premier league or enjoying the parachute payments and being close but not quite close enough to promotion and having a few seasons in the championship.

Ashley will recoup a good amount of money back on transfers out, plus big wages off the bill, which will enable him to sell the club for a lot less money and make it appealing to whoever takes up whatever the new selling price will be.

Let's be honest, it doesn't look like the premier league will allow a north east club to have a blank cheque type owner to threaten the elite clubs, so Ashley's probably seeing a better way to deal his hand.

Not sacking Bruce is another pointer towards his mindset.

Am I happy about this?
Not in the way Ashley's going about it (if my suspicions are right)...but I just think, we, as a club, are playing also ran to the top 6 or 8 teams.
Basically around 12 clubs will always be playing catch up and regularly taking one step forward and ten steps back.

I don't ever want to see football like this so I'm quite content to see us go down and more than happy to take on a championship mindset, as long as we actually play some good attacking football that excites me.

I think the premier league is so corrupt.
I've lost a lot of interest in watching other clubs in it.

Do I sound depressed?
To be honest I feel invigorated knowing I'm accepting my fate as a fan.
There's no ambition from Ashley because he knows it's almost impossible.

The premier league is for super rich owners to play money merry-go-round and share spoils for their small group while the rest foot the bill with a futile attempt to keep up with the so called Jones'.

If I don't have this mindset then my time as a hopefully, butterfly in the stomach, Newcastle United football fan, is doomed.

What I mean is, if we go back into the premier league with the same mindset, we just carry on as per usual and it's soul destroying.
Soooooooo, for me to accept going back into the premier league and actually see a fight against the elites, I have to accept a deal with the devil and not care how and why the deal was done.

This means I have to hope we get a super rich, money no object owner who doesn't care who he/she buys or how much wages are paid.
Basically I have to go with the flow of being part of what's wrong with football just to get some fantasy enjoyment about playing with the elites.

It kills Newcastle United as a proper club and replaces it with a plastic element......but... I become that along with the rest who partake in it.

Championship and below, if need be, for me to keep my real Newcastle United experience, until such time that the premier league becomes a normal fight out among all teams and not just a small posse of regulars.
Am I shite reading all that

I am not sure where you get the confidence from to say: "It'll leave us with a very very good championship squad with likely decent championship additions."?

Our last Prem side: Pickford, Manquillo, O'Shea, Jones, Lescott, Oviedo, Larsson, Rodwell, Cattermole, Janazuj, Borini
1st champ side: Steele, Jones, Galloway, Cattermole, Browning, Kone, Honeyman, Ndong, Vaughan, Grabban, Mcgeady

we finished bottom on 37 points.

mags last Prem team:

Dubravka, Manquillo, Lascelles, Clark, Drummett, Willock, Shelvey, Hayden, Joelinton, Almiron, Fraser

The Newcastle defence have age on their side, our midfield marginally better (at least on paper) and our Champ strikers is better than the front 3 for Newcastle. Still not convinced you will go down, but if you do I wouldn't be so confident. That current Newcastle side is weaker than any since Keegan arrived.

Is it live? No time for TR but likewise I would hate to get a row with him as he could tie you up in knots. "Total Patriotic City".

Oh I know that, you know that and the sensible ones amongst the mags know it. However Rosco stated, on here, that Big Mike had taken loads of money out of NUFC. Still waiting for him to back it up.

Do you mean if we go down you wouldn't be so confident on us getting back up at the first attempt?

If so you may well be correct because there's a lot of decent teams in the championship. And, if we still have Ashley I'd rather we didn't go back up.
I'd rather duke it out in the championship.

Yes. You said a very good championship side and I think it would, without investment, be a mediocre one. But then again I thought we would be pushing at the top...not dropping to the bottom.

Reading all the stuff online I am starting to think Newcastle are no longer the people's second club they support.
Their fans are hated haha
