Great knock by Curran but equally has cost us the game by not taking those singles. Completely idiotic.

Can't really blame the lad as the failures were higher up in the order.

At least he will have booked his place in the ODI squad for the summer and the World Cup with than performance.

Nonsense. They would do the same again. Back the senior batsman to clear the ropes enough times to win the game. It didn’t work this time but there seems to be this assumption that Wood wouldn’t have got out. Taking a single would have meant Curran not being on strike for the over he got 18. Their policy got them from nowhere to having a great chance with 3 overs to go but he just could not clear the ropes at the death.

It appears the correct way to analyse is to ignore anything England have done wrong, ignore any decisions that were correct / gone Englands way, and focus on the fabricated theory that Kohli runs International cricket, including all umpires, in a Blofeld / SPECTRE type fashion. Absolute nonsense.

Yeah, but you can look at all decisions then

Buttler (?) was given not out and looked plumb to me.
2 noises I think but yeah that was plumb.
The dead ball rule needs to be looked at also, imagine if it went to the final ball needing 1 or 2 to win and he’s given out then it’s overturned on review

Honestly, I think the criticism of the tour is way over the top. India are a top side, and very very good at home

Tests - some shocking umpiring and dreadful pitches.
white ball stuff - lost Archer and Morgan to injuries, which really hampered us.

rotation - yeah, looked odd at times. And they got a few things wrong. But both sides rotated. And the players do need resting, and to have lives with their families right now. Some odd ones, and frustrating of course
Could not agree more especially the white ball series, they could have gone either way.

Both England and India a very very good sides in white ball cricket, the standard exceptional.

Imo some of the criticism is way out of perspective and too many short memories on here

I think the main point is neutral umpires are definitely required. Kohli got bowled in a test and had it looked at ffs it’s naive to think he doesn’t influence certain things. It’s nothing new in sport, happens/happened in football quite a bit. Ferguson springs to mind

It seems that some people need to feel robbed whenever we lose. There’s only ever 2 outcomes and England win or the umpires fault. My own dads like that tbf

Again you are completely wrong. Kohli was bowled and stayed his ground on the chance that the bails had been dislodged by the keeper. He is entitled to do that and 100 per event of the time in every country with every umpire they would be duty bound to check.

So he got bowled and had it checked? That’s what I said. Most players usually walk
