Eh? I haven't said otherwise. I've said he has taken us backwards, I haven't said his money didn't stop the rot. Facts are though we were in Europe, weren't a yoyo club, for the 13 years before he took over, and we've been in Europe once since and relegated twice, soon to be thrice. Ashley himself says he's been bad for us, so why is that admission ignored by some Sunderland fans? We says he's been bad, ex-managers and players say he's bad, journalists and pundits says he's bad, he says he's bad. It's an accepted fact. I can forgive the fans of other clubs not getting it because they'll not have taken much of interest, but the ones on here clearly have done their homework, they must have to come up with daft gotcha arguments to try and claim he isn't a bad owner.

I honestly don't care what trophies he won elsewhere, I rated Benitez as a very good manager before he joined, rated him when he was with us, was excited about what he could do at the club and was disappointed when he left. That's why I like him. Not because of his name, not because of his history, but because of that.

They love Rafa as with him they felt as though they had a Manager befitting of their status as a European Super Club. Even though he was mediocre at best. He made them feel relevant and if he took them into L1 they would still love him. f***ing Charlatan

If you were in the office and a few Middlesbrough fans had conversations all about Sunderland. Now some of the conversation is interesting, some of it funny, but there was a pervading opinion that Allardyce was dogshit, a longball merchant who played miserable football and only joined Sunderland for the paycheck, then left as soon as a better opportunity came along. Would you put forward your opinions to counter those claims?
