So not available for opening game at Trent Bridge. I guess batting line up will be as today as far as top 6 goes for championship opener.

Horrific pop music references aside, his stats look very respectable.

Top order batsman averaging 42 in FC cricket with ten hundreds (one every 13 innings).

Fingers crossed it goes well for him. Its a tough ask when they come over at the beginning of the season for a short time. By the time they get used to the conditions they are going back.

Very true, just hope he’s arriving sooner rather than later - if he can play a couple of innings’ in friendlies before the trip to Trent Bridge that could be very important.

Straight in at the deep end at arrives in time for the Essex match and not here for the opening game at Trent Bridge.

You’re right, I’d overlooked that :oops:
Decent knock for Jones today in the friendly, if he starts against Notts and gets a score, it’s hard to see where Young fits in. I’m jumping the gun I know, but he opens or bats 3 going off NZ and club evidence. Can’t see Badger dropping lower than 3.

Finished last season's championship off well after an awful start the lad deserves a go. The interesting thing tomorrow is who gets the gloves? Poynter is shown on the scorecard as keeping with Eckersley batting at 6 as a specialist batsmen. Not sure what is up with Dickson he hasn't had a go in either game. So it could be both Eckersley and Poynter play in the opening match which surprises me.

Aye he did, deserves a go and from what I’ve seen very briefly from last season and then over the last couple of days he looks like he’s come on leaps and bounds.
