Got some kit to collect from a lad ready for the new season. Might do that with my day off on Friday. Not strictly essential but hey ho.

Clumsy I’d say but you have to remember he’d spent just about every minute of the tour up to that point on the pitch, including in Sri Lanka. He was bound to be a bit frazzled and I’m prepared to cut him some slack on that basis

Root and Woakes would be in the first XI if they were there. They have been rested - Root fair enough but Woakes hadn’t played a game all winter
 
One thing that I don't think the fuckwit Smith considered is if we lose all three series, as is now likely, the mental baggage we'll carry into the WC. If you've lost three series on the bounce in one hit in a country and come back there six months later, you're gonna be all over the place mentally in terms of trusting yourself and your teammates, in terms of mental demons etc.

Smith has royally fucked us.
