They "won" rafagation last time. A lot of them are saying he's deliberately trying to take them down. So has hatched a plan to get them into the Championship. Many of them think it will mean a drop in price and the takeover happening (it wont). Getting their excuses in early. It could never be the fact they are shite.

I've a theory of my own. If indeed he is "trying" to relegate them Its he's had that much shit from them over the years he's putting them in their place in an attempt to lower their ridiculous delusional expectations.

There was a scathing article, in the H/pool Mail sports pages tonight, attacking Bruce, for his many excuses, and the way he blames everybody but himself, for poor performances & results.
He's surely on borrowed time, at NUFC.

Ashley has been lucky both times on relegation , first time had a team that should never have gone down and was far to good for the championship, second time he had a top class manager that should have been nowhere near a championship club in a million years and was always going to get promoted , he has neither this time when relegation happens.
In 2015/16 they sold nowt player wise but spent a shit load (£97m ) and got relegated. They sold £90m after relegation so recouped most back but spent another £57m. I know the numbers aren't perfect but it shows they had significant squad value.

They have less 'value' in players to sell this season. If they sell ASM, Wilson, Almiron or others etc then they'll still need to replace them but probably won't be as strong as previous relegation squads.

This season they've spent £35m but got not much back on sales so the money they'll get for say ASM will repay a chunk of that. Chances are they'll have to replace players for the Premier League if they come straight back up or they'll end up with another Gayle who simply isn't Premier League quality.

Whatever happens come the end of the season it's class how the 'entortaynuz' keep us entertained even though we're currently 2 divisions below :lol:

I don't agree when some say Fulham aren't very good as they aren't class but they give it a go. Their last 4 games were against Spurs, Man City, Liverpool and Leeds and they got 3 points. The Mags had Brighton, WBA, Villa (no Grealish) and Wolves and got 2pts. In the 4 games prior, Fulham got 8 points so 11pts from their last 8 games. The Mags got 3pts beating Southampton, who'd just been spanked 9-0 so just 5pts from last 8?

Are some just focusing on the last 4 results even though they've just had a hard run of 4 fixtures and not looking at the opposition or how the performed? If they'd drawn with Leeds then would people have the same view? One huge difference is Fulham, albeit they fuck up a bit, give it a go and the Leeds keeper didn't help their cause.

I guess the next 2 games will give an even better indication of what's possibly going to happen. Though as we know, owt could still happen as either team could pull off an unexpected win. This is where we know what the Mags can be like, spawning a result yet not really dominating a game.
Aye.
They were ten points clear in February!

You cannot put Ashley in the same sentence as the other 2. The other 2 really did bleed the clubs dry. Where has Ashley done that? Hes done nothing but invest in the club but you dullards think you are hard done by
He's loaned the club money, meaning he'll get it back, on top of the free advertising and questionable retail contracts he's likely installed.

If you saw what he did with Rangers and the retail stuff you can bet he's got us tied up in something similar. I won't argue, the Oyston's are the worst. I also don't expect you to launch a public appeal on our behalf. Where I disagree is the notion that we've in any way got it good. I think we can agree that Ellis Short was good intention, bad action. We don't have a good intention with Ashley. That's why the 'money he's invested' is a bit of a red herring.

Currently, our cycle is:
  1. Try to keep transfers in the black, and be content with anything 17th or above (qualifying for Europe is a burden).
  2. If relegated, loan the club money to either cover costs of wages or sign new players to get promoted.
  3. Earn promotion, enjoy a bit of a buzz while spirits are high and players care, before eventually returning to point one.
The thing is, if he just did really basic things like, didn't go cheap on a manager like Bruce or McClaren, and addressed the squad's needs when they arose instead of trying to sniff out a bargain, we wouldn't have to go through 2 or 3. He talks about wanting more academy lads to make it but doesn't invest in the facilities (which are dog shit). He's always moving the goal posts. You guys have top notch facilities hence why you had a raft of good kids come through.

Keegan and Gullit resigned, Keegan even did it with England. Ricky Sbragia even did it with you lot.
