I’m jealous of the grand on offer for a crowd catch down your patch. We get lasses walking around slinging t shirts and the odd bag of crisps.Love it!
I stand in the Peter May Garden for T20s and I absolutely love it. I'm not a massive fan of T20 as you know, but it's a great laugh. Loads of beer, and gets more and more raucous toward the end of tight games. Great fun
Been in the common seats when I've taken mates, and I just can't abide some of the wankers we attract. The problem with our location is it's perfect for City wankers to come after work and have no interest in the cricket at all
Think there’d be a riot of the club named anything after him, apart from the bogs maybe. Was never the most enthusiastic when playing county cricket once England fame went to his head. The Michael OnOn Vaughan Ginnel surely?![]()

I can remember Vaughan in what was probably one of his last games before retirement, getting a standing ovation from the don robson when he was out in a t20Think there’d be a riot of the club named anything after him, apart from the bogs maybe. Judging by our batting performances in recent years, the corridor between the dressing rooms and the stairs would take that monikerThought of a better one
SURELY it's gotta be the "Geoff Boycott Corridor Of Uncertainty"?
Sponsored by a Women's Domestic Violence charity, obvs![]()
That's what ya get for having Bairstow in your team mateJudging by our batting performances in recent years, the corridor between the dressing rooms and the stairs would take that moniker
We barely see him these days! That's what ya get for having Bairstow in your team mate
Think his Test career is all but over now, so you'll be seeing a lot of stumps flying all over the place this year!We barely see him these days!
Which is an absolute joke mindBairstow off to wales in the 100 iirc. Billy Root down there as well.
you’ll have more chance to see Ben Stokes at headingley than us outcasts in the frozen north
I’m not getting into that one. See the hundred threadWhich is an absolute joke mind
I'll have to be allowed in there first.
I'll have to be allowed in there first.
DCCC only opened the Trapdoor once for a county championship match in the 2019 season (Worcs) - an event so momentous that I believe @GordonMuchallNo1Fan even put in an appearance in there for one of the days.![]()

He played in that pink ball game that lasted about 5 overs between rain delays 2 seasons backI’m not getting into that one. See the hundred threadIt’s nearly ten years since I’ve seen stokes play live, when I’m attending, for durham
It shows how time flies as that's coming up for four years ago if it's the pink ball County Championship match at home to Worcs you mean. One of the few games in Durham's history when the weather saved us from defeat. He played in that pink ball game that lasted about 5 overs between rain delays 2 seasons backhim and Rushy bought me a pint though as me and my marra were sat in the bar and must have been the only ones stupid enough to attend with the forecast
Bloody hell that long ago? That’s the game I was thinking - had it in my head it was 2018/9....It shows how time flies as that's coming up for four years ago if it's the pink ball County Championship match at home to Worcs you mean. Since then he's been allowed to appear in three home T20 games in 2018 and was only allowed to bowl in one where he took 4-16.![]()
