Love it!

I stand in the Peter May Garden for T20s and I absolutely love it. I'm not a massive fan of T20 as you know, but it's a great laugh. Loads of beer, and gets more and more raucous toward the end of tight games. Great fun

Been in the common seats when I've taken mates, and I just can't abide some of the wankers we attract. The problem with our location is it's perfect for City wankers to come after work and have no interest in the cricket at all
I’m jealous of the grand on offer for a crowd catch down your patch. We get lasses walking around slinging t shirts and the odd bag of crisps.

mind you I fought off a couple of urchins for a t shirt  .

my grandkids in Australia have them now. i used to take them to the T20s and they were over the moon to get a couple of knackered practice white balls off the Lancashire team

then post match the durham lads come out and spend around an hour, having pictures, autographs and a chat. Got some canny pics of stoneman, Borthwick, colly, Hasting, Jennings.

ive got a couple of pics with Bumble and Ross Taylor with myself. Great bloke Taylor , spoke to him pre match, got a pic and he scored 80 odd

Colly brought the T20 World Cup one night and the mrs and I got a pic with that. It’s stuff like this that you never get a chance at the football. I even got a pic with SAFCS mascot Samson the Cat who turned up. Would usually cost a few hundred to get that at the sol

Think there’d be a riot of the club named anything after him, apart from the bogs maybe. Was never the most enthusiastic when playing county cricket once England fame went to his head.
Thought of a better one

SURELY it's gotta be the "Geoff Boycott Corridor Of Uncertainty"?

Sponsored by a Women's Domestic Violence charity, obvs 😎

I can remember Vaughan in what was probably one of his last games before retirement, getting a standing ovation from the don robson when he was out in a t20

was a nice thing to see

I'll have to be allowed in there first.

DCCC only opened the Trapdoor once for a county championship match in the 2019 season (Worcs) - an event so momentous that I believe @GordonMuchallNo1Fan even put in an appearance in there for one of the days.:D

Aye got to be part of the blue seat elite when you can

Mind you if they are on about 25% for England games, then surely we'll be allowed in at Durham?

I’m not getting into that one. See the hundred thread  It’s nearly ten years since I’ve seen stokes play live, when I’m attending, for durham
He played in that pink ball game that lasted about 5 overs between rain delays 2 seasons back 😂😂 him and Rushy bought me a pint though as me and my marra were sat in the bar and must have been the only ones stupid enough to attend with the forecast

It shows how time flies as that's coming up for four years ago if it's the pink ball County Championship match at home to Worcs you mean. One of the few games in Durham's history when the weather saved us from defeat.

Since then he's been allowed to appear in three home T20 games in 2018 and was only allowed to bowl in one where he took 4-16.:(

Bloody hell that long ago? That’s the game I was thinking - had it in my head it was 2018/9....

What a non event that was. I’d booked the afternoon off and went to the first day of Yorkshire’s game against @TheRey ’s lads and it was cold and dank, knowing full well that the rest of the game was going to be washed out so it felt utterly pointless. They also spanked us all over Headingley that day/night
