Newcastle after the Brighton game. WTF???

No horses were harmed in the above production.

Not sure that the makers of that poster understand the definition of the word coward there mind.

Football fans in general seem to be under the misapprehension that coward is some sort of swear word. They seem to use it for anything from "that was a terrible tackle," through to "that pass didn't really se to go anywhere." through to "I dont know how he managed to miss the goal with that shot."

It is a really weird misunderstanding of the word.

Hi TravellingMackem, I agree, I don't think he's getting sacked this season. While Ashley isn't one to sack managers, the three that he has sacked provides some context. Allardyce - early in the reign as owner, not his appointment, listened to fans (still drinking with fans at that point).
Hughton - completely out of the blue in terms of results, he done well. Was rumoured in the October, but he went in November. Couldn't control the players apparently. Because he sided with them over a bonus dispute.
McClaren- shite, waited way too late.

No other manager has been sacked despite deserving it. Managerial change in relegation peril in 2009 was when Kinnear had a heart attack, had Hughton as caretaker then Kinnear couldn't come back so Shearer got it.

To fill in blanks, ones not sacked when deserving would be Pardew, caretaker Carver.

Benitez didn't excel, nor did he warrant sacking imo.
He want sacked. He left for more money and a project. World class and loved the fans.

Happy to help

So you’re saying just accept it? I feel like that just shows him whatever he does is fine.

That happened during lockdown, and I think we can agree had you changed him sooner you’d be walking the league (I think you still might). For me, there’s a big difference between Wraith being a twat and a fan group doing something organized. Trust me, I laughed at the daft misspelled ones, but we have so little power I’d prefer to exert whatever we have.

A few bedsheets outside the SoL wouldnt have made Donald do it any sooner. Possibly have the opposite reaction.

I wonder what Matt Ritchie meant then ?

They’re awful but we know they’ll scrape enough points together by hook or by crook to stay up.
they r awful to watch awful to play against because they just put bodies between the ball and goal and hope to stay in games and nick points.
Brighton and Fulham play much better more attractive football but can’t seem to score enough goals ( tonight not included) to win enough games.
Hope I’m wrong but think the mags will scramble a couple of wins from somewhere and the odd point to keep their heads above the relegation zone.

Blatant Mag.

Right but that’s not my point. These are coordinated efforts, it’s not idiots shouting at a shop or boycoutts.
