India v England series

A bit harsh on Stokes, Jimmy, Leach and Broad saying that Root is the only test class player we’ve got. I’d probably add Woakes to that too despite his overseas record.

Meant to say batsman🤦🏻‍♂ I agree with Broad and Anderson. I did say world class test, but just test players. Wouldn’t say Leach is world class.

Playing like a team who know they’re beaten. I was really looking forward to test cricket this year but this is going to retire a few players and confidence will be shot to shit.

When Sibley, Crawley and Pope came into the side I was hopeful we might’ve finally found a half decent top opener but England inability to bat continues. It seems we’re only ever a wicket or 2 away from a total collapse at the top.

Bairstow has somehow managed to keep getting test caps despite being awful for quite a while now, his average over the last 10 innings is under 10. Surely there are some county players worth giving a shot to?

I really feel for Root, he’s the only true world class test player in that side and we’ve seen when the openers manage to see out 20 overs what he can do, unfortunately he’s been in before over 10 in all but the huge score earlier in the series.

Stokes has the ability to do amazing things but he doesn’t have regular steady innings.

Bess and Leach are good spinners but nowhere near world class. Nathan Lyon must be rubbing his hands together waiting for the Ashes at the end of the year. I wonder if all of the focus we put on white ball cricket over the last 4 years has finally caught up with us?

Dire straits.
Ben is too high at 5 for me.

What you describe is why he's so good at 6.

Been through necessity he's been put there

Batsmen getting themselves out again. Track is decent and like any test it’s about building an innings.

Bess is unable to tie an end down. He bowls way too many loose balls. Overall it’s been a totally inept performance on this tour after starting so well
