India after losing the first test have simply turned this series into a spinners competition and ours are simply not good enough.

He will be one of our best players as the conditions has totally suited spin bowlers as opposed to batsman and he is the best spin bowler we have in amongst a sub standard bunch imoLeach has been fine. In fact one of our best players this series
Leach and Bess not being as good as Ashwin et al is hardly a surprise given the conditions they play on regularly
Spinners need runs to work with, Warne had an average record in India just because it’s turning pitches does not mean you are guaranteed to take wickets. He has done fine but apparently he’s shit because he’s not as good as Ashwin who has 400 wickets @ 25 and is arguably India’s greatest spinnerHe will be one of our best players as the conditions has totally suited spin bowlers as opposed to batsman and he is the best spin bowler we have in amongst a sub standard bunch imo

He will have first class experience in these conditions. Toby Roland-Jones made his England debut against South Africa a few years ago and took plenty of wickets it doesn’t mean he’s better than Rabada, Morkel, Philander etc or that they’re poor bowlers. Its not all about Ashwin as Patel has come in with not many runs to play with too and clearly out bowled our spinners.
Ashwin and Jadeja are brilliant that’s why. Patel might not play another game when Jadeja is back. Would any of their quicks play ahead of Jimmy or Broad in England? All things equal would any of our spinners make their side not a chance imo.
Bess would not make their fifth choice side that sounds harsh but it’s where we at with our depth of spinner bowlers imo

Bess is never a international bowler in a million miles imo, the 5 wickets he got when the Sri Lanka got themselves out gave a false impression, think the England set up aware of that too, just few other options sadly
Bess has looked poor and got lucky in SL, but I wouldn't write him off just yet.
There is very little depth in the spin bowling cupboard but thankfully we'll only usually play 1 spinner and in Leach we have someone who's more than capable. The problem is when we need 2 spinners or even a back-up spinner, as Bess looks short of international class at the moment, Ali is shot and there's not a lot behind them two.
He's been really poor - still young but needs to learn and improve quickly. The Rat would be quick to point out that in SA he has proven he can do it but i've been quite shocked at how poor he has been. Seems to be having a crisis of confidence.
Thing is okay he can get a bit of spin, but he seldom lands it where he wants. The good thing for Bess moving forward is he does actually spin the ball which has not always been the case for some slow bowlers selected for England.
His record is decentBess bowled 11 full tosses in 15 overs today. I’ll get in to bother from a particular poster, but that is club standard spin bowling. A spinner bowling balls that are neither able to spin, bounce, slide on, or deviate off the surface is no use at all. He throws in plenty of long hops as well which just allows a constant release of pressure.
If he plays enough he will get more wickets than GilesThing is okay he can get a bit of spin, but he seldom lands it where he wants.
I think it's harsh and a little unfair to compare our spinners to theirs - they're world class, and bought up in those conditions.
Leach has done okay, I like him - has a pair of bollocks with the bat albeit limited quality, but more importantly he can offer a bit of control, and the odd ripper of a delivery that even if it doesn't take a wicket, will put doubts in a batsmans head.
Bess though... I'd love to face him. He can't put two balls in the same spot, and if you get at him he shits himself.
He's liked by the selectors and management because he's a nice lad, has a bit of bottle about him and can hold a bat, but he makes Giles look like prime Warne.
