Bruce is right about Ritchie mind. What he was playing at not passing on the message I dont know.
the quarter back is more at fault taking the kick so quickly imho, if he'd had half a brain he might have realised that they'd taken the right back off and brought a winger on but he's so desperate so show he can actually contribute he takes the kick - he gets away with murder thanks to a goal from outside the box every 10 games, he's a fraud

He doesn't score that often. He's absolute shite.

Of course I will ...get a f***ing life man.
Do you agree he likes to play the victim card everywhere he goes. Many fans of Palace, Wigan, Sheff Utd, Brum, Villa and SAFC would suggest he does.

Someone saying he was a lovely, cuddly bundle of fun when they met him does not counteract such widespread feelings of despair at his oft displayed ineptness.

He’d be gone by now if the fans were allowed in. The day we finally snapped we were villains. He was throwing mud that stuck and he walked away the victim. Interesting how he ll deflect blame on this one. I always remember a Kenny Cunningham article about Bruce and his time at Birmingham. It mirrored everything that was happening at Sunderland. You can add a few more clubs to it now.
I can't remember what that article said, but there does seem to be a pattern. He is good at coming in, giving players a lift and getting a struggling squad playing again, so in that respect he is a good stop-gap or caretaker. But then he gets settled into the post and starts buying players. For us there was a trend (and we still have to some extent) of slow, short, defensive minded players. Each player he bought was good in his own right, but the vast majority were not what we needed. He doesn't buy with any game plan in mind and then because there is no obvious formation, he throws players out onto the pitch for them to make the best of it. I seem to remember him being very late with sub changes too, and they were often a bit odd.

Naturally results are poor, he blames everyone else, becomes the victim, gets fired/leaves and then starts at a new club where he gives them that initial lift, people look at his old club and say "See, he is not a shit manager, good results here", then 18 months on the slide has set in.

They weren't desperate to own us, if they were they would have sorted out the piracy issue and arranged the corporate structure in a way that would sail through the test.

They did want us enough to get to the O&D test though, which is significant interest.

I reckon it was more like Amanda Staveley pitched the project to them. They agreed in principal to put the money up. She told them it would be easy.

When it wasnt easy they walked.

The silence from the Saudi elements of the bid was deafening. I dont recall a single statement of intent from them.
IF this had gone through I suspect they would have been silent partners in Amanda's game. Their commitment was £50million a season. Which isn't much more than a Joelinton.

If the money and big name signings didn't materialise you can imagine the mood turning very quickly

Seems Matt Richie has joined the ever expanding list of players and supporters who can’t stand Teflon Steve. Won’t be long before there’s a host of ex players and media buddies coming out in defence of him.

.. Despite the fact that I really want them to keep him. This player power nonsense needs to be stamped out across the board.. Come on Ashley, do the right thing and give Brucey a bonus. He deserves one for having to manage a club with those f***ing fans ..

Sorry, but this is an absolutely disgraceful attempt to brush the disgusting behaviour of the overwhelming majority of your fans under the carpet.

You were all so excited about the Saudi sports minister following the club account on twitter that it ended up in the Chronicle:

The fact that his father who also belonged to the government had admitted to torturing British citizens, had set up the Taliban in Afghanistan, and had met Bin Laden several times made no difference to you. Would you have responded to this individual like this if you hadn't thought the Saudis were going to takeover?

100k of you signed this, and I bet you did as well:

You must be logged on to see media items

Would you have endorsed something with that line in it if you hadn't though the Saudis could takeover?

Wylam Brewery thought (probably correctly) that an image of Bin Salman on their beer cans would help sales. Would they have used an image of Saddam Hussein in the same way? Unlikely, but Saddam couldn't be associated with the football club, whereas Bin Salman can:

I could go on, the abuse directed towards Khasshoggi's fiance was beyond belief. You cannot hide from the fact that everyone can now see what the vast majority of Newcastle supporters are like, and you didn't even get taken over.
Again, what you're doing is thinking that twitter is 'the majority of Newcastle supporters', when it's not. You're also expecting people to be sufficiently educated and worldly to have opinions on Saudi Arabia's behaviour when Barry from Benwell couldn't point it out on a map. You're also conflating wanting the promise of a Man City-like lurch to success* and supporting Saudi Arabia.

Getting down to the crux of it, you're a sunderland fan who, because of rivalry, sees the worst in Newcastle fans and paints them all with the same brush. Which is pretty f***ing silly. I don't think you're all racist because of a few morons making monkey gestures, or pedophile apologists because a few still support/defend Johnson, or whatever. Because it's pretty f***ing obvious that the majority of people aren't retrograde arseholes.

*which I'm not in any way saying would have happened.

Bruce is right about Ritchie mind. What he was playing at not passing on the message I dont know.
He told Hayden, then Shelvey took the freekick before he could pass any message on. Bruce should have called players over during the break in play and told them as the substitution was happening.

Manager sits in office and asks his assistant to go and tell the member of his staff to come to his office to discuss in private.

Absolutely nothing wrong in that whatsoever.

Whatever else has gone on god only knows but calling manager a coward for not coming onto factory floor is wrong

Ritchie is an arsehole really.

I'm not a fan of Bruce by any stretch, the way he went on here and afterwards was shite.

But their hounding of him now is absoltely ridiculious.

Sadly when they lose at Wba he's a goner.
Any half decent boss wud keep those tosspots up, even Mark Hughes.
If they think getting rid of Bruce will save them they are wrong. Injuries are horrendous and the players they’ve got available are shite

Hmmmm, not sure. Wilson is the key. If he comes back and plays the last 10 games, the Mags will be fine. If he keeps breaking down tho, they are knackered.
