Probably won't buy us now, no. When they thought it'd be easy breezy, they were going for it. Unless you honestly think they'd waste all that time and money and embarrassment for the fun of it?

By the way, I'm assuming you're casting some generalised aspersions on the Newcastle fanbase, rather than saying I'm personally sportswashed?

I dont remember a single Saudi putting their head up championing the deal, they didn't say a word till they walked away, and even then it was a pretty anonymous statement.

There's no embarrassment for the Saudis but there's a lot for Amanda Staveley. Twice she has tried to buy the club with largely someone else's money and twice (dispite "no red flags") she has failed. I think she was the one telling the Saudis how easy it would be.

It was always a weird set up to be honest
