Anyone been to a Marseille game?

Would love to go. Have always liked them and the fact they stopped the Dead FC reaching a Champions League Final is another plus.

Aye the walk from the underground to the Stadium was about a mile long line of portable bars and food stalls.

Good atmosphere and no bother unlike the Dynamo nuggets.

It was class. I saw them play Stuttgart. Tickets dirt cheap, great beer, mad (but unthreatening fans) and a great match.

I used to go to Germany for work a fair bit. First question I would ask after work "where can I see football". Made some lifelong friends through that!
 
I can only comment on the Euroā€™s. Went with a few other lads who post on here for for the Iceland Hungary match.
Marseille is a bit rough but I really liked it. Some decent places to drink near the port. The ground is fantastic. A bit to a trek in underground but drinks stalls nearby. Can imagine the atmosphere would be great for a Marseille game.

Got sent to Marseille a couple of times a few years back - "South of France" is not the correct image, there are nice bits, but overall KLD will feel its on a par with Sunderland in attractiveness.

There for the euros and the disgrace that was the Russia game but never to see Marseille
 
Create a great atmosphere in the ground and even outside it watching some youtube stuff. Lot of flag waving ( small and large) with a fair few flares. Looks good.

It's not your Nice or St Tropez but it didn't have an edge to it.
Not sure if there's much to see other than the port and the ground , it's has the feel of a big sprawling commercial area.
