The total ignorance of population catchment areas rears its head again.

He's not very bright this lad, so can someone please explain it to him "Janet and John" style.

Thichk as whale spunk.

Don't use common sense and logic man, he's barely capable of putting his school tie on unaided.
So how did you get bigger crowds in 96 and 97 if the catchment area comes into it?
And I’m the one who’s thichk?

Football club from a city with bigger population gets bigger crowds.
Who'd have thought it.
But but I was told Co Durham is all red and white so surely you should have bigger crowds if that was the case
So is it right that come May everyone born the last time the Mags won a major Trophy will be retired!
Yep same as the last time sunderland made the top 6 and almost the same since the last time you played in Europe

Co Durham should be r&w and would be mostly, but for the 92 Durham mags

Look I'll spell it out for you.

The majority of NUFC fans will come from Newcastle.
The majority of SAFC fans will come from Sunderland.

Newcastle has a bigger population than Sunderland. It's not hard to understand.

Geographically there are hundreds of thousand of more people that have NUFC as their nearest professional football club than SAFC. It's completely fair an unbiased for me to say when you factor that in the attendances that Sunderland get pro rata are miles better than Newcastle. I'm sure you will agree and just eave the argument there.

You do know we played in Europe after we won the cup, you know Europe that we qualified by actually winning something

Bet the resident Mags on here are f***ing gutted we've been taken over by a billionaire and got to a Cup Final in the same week. I would be crushed if it was them 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

We’ve got a billionaire owner and I would never want my club to be in a position to enter that cup.
Aye, crushed.

Unless you count the very well know UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2006, the last “major” trophy won by Newcastle United was the FA Cup, back in 1955, when they beat Manchester City 3-1.
Number One In in the UK Charts was CHERRY PINK (AND APPLE BLOSSOM WHITE) by PEREZ “PREZ” PRADO & HIS ORCHESTRA.
